BAC gives grants, presents free and affordable arts events, trains artists and arts professionals, teaches students, incubates new projects and promotes artists and cultural groups across our borough. As Brooklyn’s cultural anchor since 1966, BAC has also been the catalyst helping the arts community grow. We continually evaluate and evolve what we do to meet the changing times, and keep our commitment to community engagement, diversity and inclusion when it comes to the arts in our borough.

Included here are BAC's current, live applications. Please contact Submittable directly if you have any issues with the online form. For application questions, please contact the BAC department indicated in the guidelines of the application.

CONGRATULATIONS!

This form serves as the official acceptance of your grant award. Without it, we can not proceed. Kindly take some time to fill out a Change of Scope form for EACH award you have received.

What is a Change of Scope Form?

  • This is a brief online form that serves as the Acceptance of your BAC Grant(s). All grantees must complete the Change of Scope Form before we can begin processing your award.
  • Complete this form once per award received.
  • If you received multiple awards, you must fill out this form once for each award received. For example, if you received both a Local Arts Support and Brooklyn Arts Fund grant, you must fill out this form once for LAS, and once for BAF.
  • This form also serves as an opportunity to furnish us with refined details around your project since submission. Please include as much information as you have available. If there are changes to your project do not worry - this is the moment to share those updates.
  • Funders, government officials, Brooklyn Arts Council Board Members like attending your events, please be sure to list any and all public facing components of your funded project

To complete your Change of Scope Form, you may find it useful to look back at your application. (You can find your application by logging into your Submittable account and clicking on ‘Submissions.’) You'll be asked to build on what you shared about your project(s) in your application(s), now that you know how much you've been awarded. You'll also need the Budget - in most cases, we'll ask you to fill in the Change of Scope Budget using the funding amount from your Notification Letter (which may be less than your original request).

To complete this form, you must be logged into your Submittable account – the one with which you applied. Please note that you must click ‘Apply Now’ in order for us to view your form. We cannot view forms saved as drafts.

Once your Change of Scope has been approved, our bookkeeping partner, ArtsPool, will send you a Grant Agreement via Docusign that will require your signature, as well as an invitation to bill.com. Once we receive your signed Grant Agreement & W9, payment of your grant will be made via bill.com. *Timeline is determined by when BAC receives money from the Funder(s).

Feel free to contact the BAC Grants Team by emailing grants@brooklynartscouncil.org with any questions.

Submit this form to share information about your project with Brooklyn Arts Council's Grants and Communications teams.

We can use this to schedule posts about your project through our social media accounts.

If you would like us to share in advance about a specific performance, exhibition, or presentation date, please submit 3 weeks in advance so there is time to schedule accordingly.
